Why do women live longer and what actually influences the length and quality of their lives? The answers come from some of the most important specialists in Romanian medicine and research, invited to the online conference "Women's Longevity Map", organized by The Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania.
The event, which will take place on Wednesday, March 11, at 18:00, brings to the forefront the latest medical and scientific insights on women's health and the biological mechanisms that influence the aging process. The conference will be moderated by Carmen Brumă, and participation is free of charge, upon registration by filling in the form available here.
The debate will bring together specialists in endocrinology, cardiology, genetics, gynecology and geriatrics, who will analyze the latest studies on the biological particularities of female longevity. Topics will include the hormonal transition, genetic advantages specific to women, maintaining cardiovascular and cognitive health, and personalized strategies that can contribute to a longer and healthier life.
To provide the audience with complex medical information clearly explained and applicable, the conference brings together some of the most appreciated experts in Romanian medicine and research:
- Dr. Raluca Hera, primary obstetrician-gynecologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences and founder of HERA Medical Institute. With numerous international certifications in longevity medicine, she will analyze the link between menopause and cognitive decline, starting from international benchmark studies such as KEEPS or HUNT.
- Dr. Adrian Stănescu, geriatrics and gerontology primary physician, medical director of Oxxygene Clinics, will bring the perspective of modern geriatrics and therapies dedicated to maintaining cognitive functions in old age.

As a pioneer in genetic testing in our country, she will discuss the role of preventive medicine and the importance of genetics in precision diagnostics, providing concrete tools and strategies for monitoring and managing women's health after the age of 40.
- Ruxandra Cîrciu, Manager of BTL Aesthetics and Longevity Department, is a specialist in advanced medical technologies dedicated to aesthetic medicine and longevity therapies. At the conference, she will talk about the role of innovative technologies in maintaining good health and how modern aesthetic medicine contributes to integrated prevention and longevity strategies.
- Violeta Lungu, psiholog, va aborda longevitatea feminină din perspectivă psihologică, evidențiind rolul echilibrului emoțional, al rezilienței și al sănătății mintale în menținerea unei vieți lungi și armonioase.
- Monica Rădulescu, journalist, content creator and prevention ambassador through the MIA community, will emphasize the importance of open communication about long-term health, addressing the human side of biological change.
The event is part of The Scientific Senate's "Longevity Map" project, which examines the biological, medical and social factors that influence life expectancy and the quality of years lived. The online conference on March 11 focuses on the female biological model and the questions that are becoming increasingly relevant in contemporary medicine: why do women live longer than men, what role do hormones and genetics play in this difference and how can these mechanisms be used to help women live longer and healthier lives.
Through this conference, The Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania aims to turn the latest medical information into a useful tool for the general public. The conference will be streamed live on the Foundation's YouTube channel and Facebook page. Participation is free of charge and interested persons can register by filling in the registration form available here.
