The Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania is organizing a unique event in Bucharest, on November 11: The International Longevity Congress. Under the topic "The New Frontiers of Longevity", science, clinics and technology meet to discuss solutions for living as many years of life as possible in a healthy way. The event, organized in partnership with the International Longevity Alliance (ILA) and Vetek Association - The Movement for Longevity and Quality of Life, has academic character and opens Longevity Expo Forum Fest, the only fair in Romania dedicated to longevity, organized by Antena 3 CNN and Longevity Magazine.
Beyond life expectancy, the pressure of "good" years is becoming the new public health indicator: in 2023, Europeans lived an average of 63 years of healthy life. This stake shifts the conversation from length of life to quality of life and pushes the research to deliver tools for prevention, early diagnosis and interventions that delay the occurrence of chronic diseases.
Worldwide, longevity research has become a major priority. Private investment is amounting to billions of dollars - Altos Labs and Calico (Alphabet) are developing cell reprogramming technologies and interventions to prolong healthy lives. Meanwhile, institutes like the Buck Institute (US), the Centre for Healthy Longevity (Singapore) and the AMED agency (Japan) are building university and government models that turn longevity science into medical practice.
In this context, the International Longevity Congress transforms Bucharest, for one day, into the longevity capital of the world. On Tuesday, November 11, there will be scientific presentations focusing on validated results, applied discussions on prevention and Medicine 3.0 and a panel dedicated to solutions that have passed the replicability test. The key question guests will answer is what can we do, starting tomorrow, to add healthy years to our lives?
Among the announced names are international researchers who have an important say in the global anti-aging dialog from the USA, Israel, UK, Singapore, Germany, Spain or Sweden. The conference presentations will showcase the most advanced globally validated research directions supported by prestigious institutes, international consortiums and government agencies. The focus will be on concrete solutions: from biological age measurement and longitudinal monitoring, to integrating multi-omics data with artificial intelligence algorithms and adjusting interventions according to the actual patient response.
The Congress takes place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the National Library of Romania and is primarily addressed to the medical and scientific community, as well as professionals concerned with physical and cognitive performance. Beyond specialists, the event is also addressed to all those who want to learn why modern science no longer considers old age as the end of the road, but as a stage of life that can be fully exploited.
