Champion on three continents and world record holder in mental arithmetic: 10 year old Kevin-Casian Bordea in the national campaign "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development"

A world record set in Dubai, international podium results in Europe, Africa and Asia, top places in global competitions dominated by students from Japan, China and India, and a string of titles won in a single year - that's an overview of Kevin-Casian Bordea 's achievements at just 10 years old. The performance that brought him international recognition was setting the World Record in the two-digit fast addition challenge, where he scored 1115 points in just three minutes, a result officially endorsed in The LIVE MCL Book of Mental Math World Records 2025 in Dubai. During the same period, Kevin became a world vice-champion in the multiplication challenge and ranked in the global top in complex calculus, demonstrating a rare combination of speed and accuracy. Thanks to these exceptional performances, Kevin-Casian Bordea was included in the national campaign "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania - a program that identifies and promotes the country's new generations of excellence.

The year 2025 marked a succession of victories for Kevin on the big stages of mental arithmetic: the title of champion at the SmartyKids National Olympiad in Brașov, the first prize at the HORUS International Championship in Egypt, another first place at the HORUS competition in Dubai and a remarkable result at the GMMO Olympiad in India, where he solved 100 correct calculations in less than eight minutes.

In international competitions held online, he confirmed his dominance with the World Mathematics League's 1st World Prize and the "1st Class Winner" title at the IQ Center Armenia competition. These results are not just occasional achievements, but the expression of systematically trained cognitive ability. Kevin studies at the "Luceafărul" secondary school in Bucharest and trains at the SmartyKids - Progresului center in the capital, where, in just three years of study, he has developed not only his speed of calculation, but also his concentration, mental discipline and mastery of emotions in conditions of intense competition.

Experts describe his profile as that of an "architect of speed and precision" - a child who manages to maintain perfect accuracy under time pressure and adapt instantly to different competition formats, from speed trials to complex mixed calculus. His ability to perform consistently against competitors from highly competitive educational systems already places him in the international elite of young minds.

Through his journey, Kevin demonstrates not just talent, but the strength of discipline and sustained education. He is an example that performance is not about age but about rigor, perseverance and the courage to compete at the highest level. An "athlete of the mind" who shows that when passion is cultivated with patience and rigor, limits become only temporary landmarks. In his story, numbers are not just symbols. They become the language through which Romanian excellence once again makes its place on the world map.
