Drug use among young people is becoming an increasingly alarming reality, and education remains the most effective form of prevention. The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania is organising an essential event for parents, teachers and all those involved in raising and educating the next generation: Conferința Webdidactica “Aware, not addicted – Education, the front line in the fight against drugs”.
The event brings together authoritative voices with experience and complementary perspectives – from prevention specialists and doctors to educational leaders and people who have experienced addiction themselves.
🎤 Guest speakers:
- Cătălin Țone – Anti-drug expert with extensive experience in preventing and combating the use of illegal substances;
- Adriana Iancu – Principal of Secondary School No. 206, Bucharest, with direct insight into the challenges facing schools;
- Dr. Valeria Herdea – President of AREPMF, pediatrician
- Laura Catană – Senior psychiatrist, specialising in mental health and behavioural disorders among adolescents;
- Lucian Ibănescu – Former drug user, who will offer an authentic perspective on the effects and pitfalls of addiction.
Maria Coman – TV producer at Antena3 CNN and psychologist, will guide the discussions with empathy and rigour, facilitating a sincere and practical dialogue.
The Webdidactica conference ‘Aware, not dependent – Education, the front line in the fight against drugs’ will take place online on 10 July at 7 p.m., and participation is free of charge. Registration is done by filling in the application form.
