"Let's be children for another day!": Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania supports projects dedicated to the International Children's Day.

The Dan Voiculescu Foundation is an organisation that is dedicated to the continuous support of initiatives that promote education for students through innovative and relevant means. In celebration of International Children's Day, the Foundation endorses a remarkable educational-creative initiative spearheaded by the students of the "Mircea cel Bătrân" Technical College in Bucharest: The excursion of the school into the literary childhood.

The event will see 23 students from the school working collaboratively in teams to explore the key themes of childhood in Romanian literature. The students will be tasked with the creation of presentations on the childhoods of at least two Romanian writers. In addition, they will be expected to analyse literary works that capture the world of childhood, with a particular focus on the themes of innocence and imagination, as well as relationships with parents, grandparents and other family members. The students will also be required to examine the conflict between generations.

At the conclusion of the activity, each team will be tasked with the creation of a dialogue between two characters – one child from a reading presented in their own group and one from a reading analysed by another team.

The motto of the activity - "Let's be children for another day!" - reflects not only the literary theme of the project, but also the playful spirit and curiosity that should accompany the learning process, regardless of age. To encourage and reward young people's involvement, the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania will reward the team of students for their creativity, originality and involvement in extracurricular activities, continuing its mission to support excellence in education, collaboration and respect for culture and literature.
