Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania is launching, on 15 January, on the Day of National Culture, the first tribute theatre performance dedicated to the national poet Mihai Eminescu. Based on an original script, the show "Eminescu, the builder of the Romanian language" follows the story of the great poet's life, through his verses, starting from his youth, his communion with nature and the discovery of love, up to his maturity and the struggle with the Romanian society, which is still contemporary.
The event will take place during a premiere on the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania's YouTube channel on Monday, January 15, 9:00 am. The show "Eminescu, the builder of the Romanian language" pays tribute to Mihai Eminescu, considered not only a poet but also an architect of the Romanian language.
The cast includes actors from the National Theatre, Excelsior Theatre and Coquette Theatre, the main role being played by the famous actor Marius Bodochi. The show is directed by Ruxandra Bălașu, a young director who has already staged works of representative authors, with a cast of great Romanian actors and artists. The director of the show, known for her innovative and creative approach, has managed to translate the emotion and depth of Eminescu's work on stage, creating a memorable artistic experience. The costumes, sets and soundtrack helped to create an atmosphere that will transport the audience into the poetic and linguistic world of the great poet. The performance also includes recitals by violinist Valentin Albeșteanu, soprano Miruna Ionescu, baritone Marius Nine and pianist Valentin Cucu.
The first "Eminescu, the Founder of the Romanian Language" memorial theatre performance is an artistic and cultural triumph, succeeding in conveying to the audience the emotion and depth of Mihai Eminescu's work. This event is not only a celebration of the National Culture Day, but also a tribute to the literary genius who contributed to the foundation and enrichment of the Romanian language.
