"Cuza: youth, law and reform" Competition

The 165th anniversary of the Union of the Romanian Principalities is the occasion for the launch of the "Cuza: youth, law and reform" competition. Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania challenges you to imagine, in the next week, that you are Alexandru Ioan Cuza, the ruler who wrote the first education law and laid the foundations of Romanian education, and write a contemporary reform for the Romanian education system. We want to receive innovative and realistic proposals that will contribute to a positive transformation of the way education is delivered and perceived in our country. Thus, participants are invited to develop a proposal for a reform of the Romanian education system, based on the contemporary needs and aspirations of young people. Moreover, participants are invited to propose innovative ideas for a modern and excellent education*, thus continuing Cuza's reformist vision in the field of education. The competition is open to young people aged 14-20 interested in education and reform.

* Every year, thousands of gifted children and young people, graduates of Romanian educational institutions, choose to continue their academic and professional careers abroad. These gifted children and young people, who have the capacity to change and contribute to the development of the country, are not supported by special educational programmes or by laws.

All amendments received from participants will be sent to the Ministry of Education.

Grand prize: 1,000 RON for the most creative and innovative reform, adapted to the current needs of the Romanian education system.
