The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, in partnership with Salonul Auto București & Accesorii, is launching the 2025 edition of the national competition SAB Fellowship, dedicated to the new generation of inventors who use technology, artificial intelligence and creativity to take urban mobility to the next level.
"Get artificial intelligence on the move. Engage AI in an urban mobility innovation" - is this year's theme of the competition, which challenges participants to imagine Mobility 4.0 as an ecosystem in which vehicles, road infrastructure and digital apps communicate in real time, making transportation safer, faster and smarter, tailored for contemporary cities.
Young inventors, engineers, developers or tech visionaries are invited to create a project in which artificial intelligence plays a leading role in transforming the way we get around cities. Whether it's a prototype, a software solution or an engineering innovation, the project must be innovative, applicable and have a real social impact. Entries are open until September 30, 2025 on fundatiadanvoiculescu.ro.
The winner of the SAB Fellowship, who will present the most innovative project, will receive a prize of € 5,000 and will have the opportunity to present his or her project to specialists and the general public at The Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania stand at the Bucharest Motor Show & Accessories, which will take place from October 7 to 12, 2025, at Romexpo.
All proposals will be analyzed and evaluated by a jury of engineering and mobility experts, together with representatives from SAB and The Scientific Senate of the FDVDR, to select the most promising ideas that can change the future of cities.
The SAB Fellowship 2025 competition is open to all Romanian citizens, from Romania or abroad, and encourages both individual and team participation.
Now in its 8th edition, the SAB Fellowship 2025 is one of the key initiatives of The Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania. Through this project, the Foundation aims to stimulate, encourage and support young people to transform their creativity and talent into innovative "Solutions for the Development of Romania", giving them the opportunity to become factors of change and development of Romania.
