Summer vacation is the perfect time to give children experiences that combine fun with learning, exploration with personal development.
Following the success of the Japanese language and culture courses held during the school year, FDVDR, in collaboration with Sakura Japanese School Bucharest, is officially inviting you to an unforgettable adventure: JAPAN CAMP 2025 – Urban Japanese Camp, now in its 7th edition!
The camp takes place in a fairytale setting – the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum in Bucharest, a spacious venue surrounded by nature, which will host daily activities inspired by authentic Japanese culture.
It is an ideal opportunity for children to develop their curiosity, make new friends and discover traditions and customs from a fascinating culture without leaving the city.
The camp programme is designed so that each day has a different theme – from exploration and socialising to anime, arts and creativity. Activities include:
- Japanese conversation courses (日本語会話 – Nihongo Kaiwa), tailored for children, through games and interactive dialogues
- Ateliere culturale precum caligrafie (書道 – shodō), ceremonia ceaiului (茶道 – sadō), furoshiki (tehnica de împachetare tradițională)
- Anime theme days with screenings and trivia contests
- Anime Themed Days with screenings and trivia contests
- Tanabata Festival, creative workshops and Japanese cuisine (和食 – washoku) sessions
- Photo contests and treasure hunts, as well as fun Japanese games
The camp is organised into several sessions:
Session II: 28 July – 1 August
Session III: 4–8 August
The programme runs from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including snacks, meal breaks and activities tailored to the children's ages.
By completing the form below, parents can register their children aged between 7 and 17 to win one of the places offered by FDVDR in one of the two available sessions.
