The "Form teacher's class", a national education and prevention project, part of the anti-drug campaign "Aware, not addicted", run by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, has started across the country. The initiative mobilizes teachers, students and school communities from all counties, with a clear objective: to educate an informed, responsible generation able to make conscious decisions in a world increasingly exposed to risks.
As part of the Form teacher's class initiative, teachers from across the country proposed original activities tailored to the real needs of young people, and the best ideas became models of good practice, implemented in schools.
An example came from the National Pedagogical College "Regina Maria" in Ploiești, where Mrs. Barbu Elena-Corina coordinated one of the most appreciated activities of this edition: the class podcast "Voice of Conscious Choices". The students made a series of mini-podcasts in which they openly discussed addiction prevention, peer pressure, the importance of personal choices and the healthy alternatives they can adopt.
The "Form teacher's class" was assisted by the principal of the National Pedagogical College "Regina Maria" and the class form teacher who supported the educational approach initiated by Ms. Barbu Elena-Corina. The students' discussions were also joined by the psychologist of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, Gabriela Maalouf, who emphasized the impact of the projects carried out by young people for young people.
The podcast produced by the students will be broadcast in the school, on the internal radio station and on the school's social media channels, becoming an authentic message with real influencing power. Each episode contributes to the development of key skills: communication, collaboration, responsibility and critical thinking.
Form teacher's class continues to grow, from school to school, for one reason: young people feel the need for an honest conversation about the issues that can affect them, and teachers want effective tools to help them develop a generation ready to make healthy choices. The national anti-drug campaign "Aware, not addicted" gives them the right framework to build together a culture of awareness and prevention.
