Romanian churches were depicted on canvas by a 13-year-old artist at an art exhibition in the United States. Robert Niculae is a member of the "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" campaign.

At the tender age of 13, Robert Niculae exhibited an artwork illustrating Radu Voda Monastery at the inaugural international exhibition held at the Artio Gallery in New York. His artistic endeavours propelled him to second place, after a rigorous selection process, in the "Talents from Around the World" category; he attracted praise from art critics, artists, and collectors from around the globe. The event attracted painters of all ages, at all levels of experience and training, from all over the world.

During the Easter holidays, the young artist joined the campaign "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development," which was conducted at the national level by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania. Robert is concurrently pursuing studies at the Nicolae Steinhardt High School in Bucharest and the Art School.

The driving force behind this success is a narrative of unwavering passion and unyielding determination. Robert's passion for painting was first ignited at the tender age of eight, and within just three years, he had organised his inaugural exhibition at the Moșescu Garden in Râmnicu Sărat. His genuine talent continued to manifest itself, and at the age of 12, he exhibited his inaugural solo show, entitled "Nihil Sine Deo", at the Bulandra Theatre in Bucharest. Over the years, Robert has participated in a number of joint exhibitions held at various locations, including the Romanian Peasant Museum, UNARTE, Mogoșoaia Palace, the Metropolitan Library and the Romanian Navy Museum.

Robert Niculae translates the beauty of the world around him not only onto canvas, but also a burning passion for art and culture. Robert's creative work and dedication to personal growth and that of his country serve as an inspiring example to young artists worldwide and as an ambassador of Romania's cultural and spiritual richness.

The primary motivation for my artistic practice is the intrinsic joy it brings me. My motivation for painting is to bring joy to others, as I have observed that there is a decline in interest in painting and art in general. It would be beneficial to reintroduce painting to the public eye and to provide pleasure to viewers through my own work." Robert Niculae, a young artist, views painting as a harmonious pursuit that can be enjoyed by all.

The "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" campaign was initiated with the intention of fostering national unity and identity. Its objective is to highlight the accomplishments of Romania's most distinguished children and young people, who have achieved renown on a national and international scale through their passion, dedication, and talent.

The 100 young people who make us proud to be Romanian and who have distinguished themselves through outstanding performances will be included in the first catalogue of Romanian excellence, which will be launched at the end of this year.
