Anelisse Mănescu, nicknamed "the little girl with the golden voice", is a young artist who, at just 10 years old, is already living a rare artistic destiny - a path that seems to be written in the scores even before she speaks her first words. So far, she has won more than 70 awards, 5 Grand Prix, the National Award for outstanding achievements in the cultural field and the First Prize for Excellence in Arts. This year, she gave her first solo concert - a two-hour performance in Romanian, English, French, Italian and Russian in front of 300 spectators. In October, she represented Romania at the Bon Art Junior Fest in Prague, where her performance of "Voilà", arranged by André Rieu, brought the hall to its feet. In 2026, Anelisse will represent Romania at the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles - the world's most prestigious competition for performers, the artistic equivalent of the Olympic Games.
A recognition of her exceptional talent and the way in which, through her art, she raises Romania's name on the most important stages of the world came from the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania by registering in the "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" campaign, 2025 edition.
The first signs appeared at the age of 3, when little Anelisse would correct her kindergarten classmates when the grades were not right. What seemed like play turned out to be a rare gift: absolute hearing. By the age of 5 she was already studying singing and piano, and by 6 she was stepping onto the stage of the Mamaia Children's Festival with a confidence that adults acquire after years of experience.
That's when she realized what she wanted to become: "the greatest singer in the world".
Since her first national festivals, Anelisse has conquered the public with her vocal maturity, technical control and interpretive sensitivity. By the age of 7 she had already released her album "Together we build a better world" and impressed juries at international competitions. At the age of 8 she represented Romania at Sanremo Junior, where she sang with the famous Sanremo Junior orchestra and won two important trophies: First Place and the Sanremo Junior Committee Prize. Since then, her name has been circulating in the international press and journalists have started calling her "the girl with the golden voice". Then another historic achievement: at just 9 years old she qualified for the World Final of the "Slavianski Bazaar" festival, the most demanding competition for young performers, where she performed the difficult "Opera No. 2" in Russian with the Minsk National Orchestra.
Anelisse sings flawlessly in five languages, naturally tackling pieces that are considered challenging even for professionals, such as the famous "The Diva Dance". She combines pop with opera, sensitivity with virtuosity, child's play with the discipline of great artists.
She is undoubtedly one of the most promising voices of her generation. And yet, beyond the trophies and international stages, Anelisse remains a humble child who simply says: "I love to sing. Especially with the orchestra. That's when I really feel alive."
