Sara Mocanu, a young ballerina from the "Floria Capsali" Choreography High School in Bucharest, represented Romania in the finals of the International Youth Art Festival "Planet of ART - 2025", held in Kazakhstan - the largest and most prestigious event dedicated to art for young people, organized by the Federation of Clubs of UNESCO. Her participation was supported by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, an institution affiliated to the Associations Clubs for UNESCO, which actively supports the promotion of young Romanian talents on the world stage.

In the competition that brought together finalists from 18 countries, Sara stood out for the artistic sensitivity, technical precision and maturity with which she interpreted contemporary works in the spirit of the festival, a space for global cultural dialog that promotes peace through art. Her presence in the final confirms not only her individual value, but also the high level of the Romanian ballet school.

Sara's road to this achievement is built on years of hard work and an impressive set of results that speak for themselves. In 2024, she achieved the highest honors in both classical and contemporary dance, confirming her constant evolution. The year before, she had again placed first in the same categories, demonstrating rigor and artistic maturity. Her status as a finalist in the Youth Grand Prix Barcelona and Vicenza visibly confirms her potential at international level. These achievements, along with the scholarships she has received, her participation in international workshops and her training in the Vaganova style, outline the profile of a complete artist on the rise.

For her talent and determination, as well as for the way she promotes Romania in major cultural contexts, Sara Mocanu was included in the "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" campaign, 2025 edition, run at national level by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania. The campaign brings in the spotlight young people with outstanding achievements, able to contribute to Romania's future through their talent.

Sara has reached today's level of performance thanks to the guidance of her ballet teacher, Olimpia Cheța, who played a key role in the young ballerina's development. Through her demanding, patient and deep understanding of the art of dance, Olimpia Cheța shaped her technique, discipline and confidence in her own abilities. Over the years, she supported her in all her projects, giving her support, direction and encouragement at every step. Under her mentorship, Sara's journey has taken shape and direction, becoming a true journey to excellence.

With an elegance that conquers the audience and an inner strength that shapes every line of her dance, Sara is part of the generation that is redefining the future of Romanian ballet. And her participation in "Planet of ART - 2025" is just the beginning of an artistic journey destined to reach the world's biggest stages.
