30 gifted children in the last edition of the 2023 "A brilliant mind" programme
The final 2023 edition of the 'A brilliant mind' programme has ended. The programme initiated by Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, aimed at gifted children across the country, is one of the most important projects and has reached its fifth edition. This time, 30 high ability children aged 8 to 14 have been identified.
The children enrolled in the programme underwent a rigorous assessment by experts in the field of education excellence and the 30 finalists participated in individual personal development sessions. Over four weeks, trainers of excellence delivered special sessions designed to develop emotional intelligence, personal learning styles, effective communication skills and to build resilience in difficult situations, including bullying.
After the conclusion of the "A Brilliant Mind" programme, gifted young people became members of the Super Smart Team, the first team of gifted children and young people in Romania, with the chance to participate free of charge in a special programme for high ability young people.
"A Brilliant Mind" is a free and unique programme in Romania, which aims to identify and nurture young talents, the future leaders who will contribute to the development of tomorrow's Romania. Moreover, the programme supports parents and teachers through counselling and access to the most effective educational tools and methods to maximise the potential of these exceptional young people.
