Enrolment in the Summer School educational programme continues for August courses

We are receiving applications for the remaining August courses in the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania Summer School educational program. The project is free for children aged between 8 and 16.

Children and young people who have missed the programme registration session but would like to join the FDVDR Summer School are expected to send a request via email: [email protected].

Subject to availability of places, we offer them the opportunity to participate in the courses to be held under the programme, as planned below.

Summer School Educational Programme

Week 1 (10 - 14 July) - Language courses

Children and young people will be able to participate in courses in English, German, Japanese writing, and teenagers will be able to learn strategies for learning and assimilating foreign languages.

Week 2 (17 - 21 July) - Future sciences and technologies

Interactive program of courses about photo-video editing, web design, web programming, AI (artificial intelligence) or cyber security.

Week 3 (24 - 28 July) - UNESCO

During National Heritage Week, children will be able to find out about unique customs and folk traditions, traditional music and dance, arts and crafts.

Week 4 (31 July - 4 August) - Reading and communication

Participants have the opportunity to learn about what fake news is, how to develop their public speaking and reading skills.

Week 5 (7 - 11 August) - Fun maths and physics

Children and young people who sign up will be able to take part in a super fun maths workshop, learn equally fun physics and discover the mysteries of logic and philosophy.

Week 6 (14 - 18 August) - Calligraphy and creative writing

Calligraphy and Creative Writing Week is where children can learn about digital writing on the graphics tablet as well as tips&tricks for neat writing.

Week 7 (21 - 25 August) - Leadership and financial education

During Leadership and Financial Education Week, children will be able to learn about personal development, financial education and entrepreneurship.

Summer School, the programme that develops Romania's New Generation

This summer marks the 3rd edition of the FDVDR Summer School, the most complex extracurricular education program in Romania.

The registration session took place from 20 June to 3 July, with a record number of participants: over 7,500.

In this programme, children and young people have the chance to learn from top teachers and education specialists who welcome them with activities specially designed to make education through play and applied methods possible.
