Teacher's Day - significant event in the Romanian educational calendar.

Today, 5 June, marks the celebration of Teacher's Day, a significant event in the Romanian educational calendar. 5 June marks the anniversary of the birth of Gheorghe Lazăr, the founder of modern Romanian education. The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania extends its gratitude to all teachers who, through their unwavering dedication and enthusiasm, play a pivotal role in shaping the future of young generations.

In this context, FDVDR draws attention to the story of teacher Elena Dascălu, who serves as an exemplar of dedication and professionalism. With an impressive career spanning 42 years, Mrs Dascălu has been enrolled in the "League of Exceptional Teachers" campaign, demonstrating that true commitment to education knows no limits or age. Even after her retirement, Mrs Dascălu has not ceased to inspire and educate, and continues to serve as a role model for colleagues and students alike. We acknowledge and celebrate Elena Dascălu's contribution to the development of Romanian education.

On this auspicious occasion, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all educators in Romania. It is you, the teachers, who, day after day, lay the foundations for a better, more educated and prosperous society. We extend our warmest felicitations to all teachers on this special day.
