Ast\u0103zi, localitatea \u00eei poart\u0103, \u00een semn de recuno\u015ftin\u0163\u0103 numele. Surducu Mic face parte din Banat, dar la acea vreme regiunea Banatului se afla sub st\u0103p\u00e2nire austro-ungar\u0103. Din acest motiv, Vuia a fost considerat mult timp ca fiind de origine maghiar\u0103 sau austriac\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00centre 1884-1892 Traian Vuia s-a aflat la Lugoj, unde a urmat studiile liceale. \u00cen aceast\u0103 perioad\u0103 a construit mai multe modele de aparate de zbor de tipul zmeelor. Dupa ce a trecut examenul de bacalaureat, \u00een anul 1892, Traian Vuia a plecat la Budapesta. S-a \u00eenscris la Politehnic\u0103, dar veniturile pe care le avea nu i-au permis s\u0103 urmeze dec\u00e2t Facultatea de Drept.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La 6 mai 1901, Traian Vuia \u00ee\u015fi ia doctoratul \u00een \u015ftiinte juridice solicit\u00e2nd, \u00een conformitate cu drepturile minime pe care le avea un student rom\u00e2n, ca diploma eliberat\u0103 s\u0103 fie redactat\u0103 \u00een limba latin\u0103 \u015fi nu \u00een limba maghiar\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Pe calea destinului<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dup\u0103 absolvirea facult\u0103\u0163ii, Vuia trebuia s\u0103 ia decizia care-l va orienta pe calea destinului. Putea s\u0103 tr\u0103iasc\u0103 decent, profes\u00e2nd avocatura, sau s\u0103 ri\u015fte ca s\u0103-\u015fi vad\u0103 visul \u00eemplinit. A ales s\u0103 urmeze calea zborului \u015fi a progresului, hot\u0103r\u00e2nd s\u0103-\u015fi pun\u0103 \u00een practic\u0103 ideile la Paris. La plecarea de acas\u0103, i-a spus mamei sale:\u00a0<em>\u201cM\u0103 duc departe, la Paris, dar las\u0103, mam\u0103, s\u0103 nu-\u0163i par\u0103 r\u0103u; c\u0103 am s\u0103 viu de acolo \u00een zbor sau n-am s\u0103 mai vin niciodat\u0103 acas\u0103.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Astfel, \u00een 1902 porne\u015fte c\u0103tre capitala Fran\u0163ei \u2013 considerat\u0103 la acea vreme si \u201ecapitala aeronauticii\u201d. Aici spera s\u0103 ob\u0163in\u0103 un sprijin material \u015fi o recunoa\u015ftere a proiectelor sale de zbor. Ambi\u0163iosul inventator purta cu el proiectul \u201eaeroplanului-automobil\u201d, pe care \u00eel va prezenta, prin compara\u0163ie cu alte aparate de zbor de la acea vreme, \u00een cadrul unei conferin\u0163e \u0163inut\u0103 la Aeroclubul Francez.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rom\u00e2nul va contacta marile figuri ale aeronauticii din acea perioad\u0103, pentru a-i consulta \u00een leg\u0103tur\u0103 cu aparatul s\u0103u de zbor. Adres\u00e2ndu-i-se lui Victor Tatin, acesta i-a atras aten\u0163ia c\u0103 aparatul Vuia are nevoie de un motor u\u015for, dar foarte puternic. \u00cen replic\u0103, inventatorul a declarat ferm \u201eVoi face acest aparat!\u201d. \u00cen februarie 1903 prezint\u0103 \u00een fa\u0163a Academiei de \u015etiin\u0163e pariziene \u201eProiectul aeroplanului-automobil\u201d. Ca orice idee care dep\u0103\u015fe\u015fte timpul s\u0103u, proiectul a fost primit cu scepticism:\u00a0<em>\u201eG\u0103sirea unei solu\u0163ii la problema zborului cu un aparat mai greu dec\u00e2t aerul este o himer\u0103\u201d<\/em>. Totu\u015fi, inginerul rom\u00e2n nu se descurajeaz\u0103 \u015fi \u00ee\u015fi breveteaz\u0103 \u00een acela\u015fi an apartul de zbor conceput el.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De acum, toate eforturile lui Vuia se vor \u00eendrepta c\u0103tre construc\u0163ia efectiv\u0103 a aeroplanului-automobil. Piedicile nu erau pu\u0163ine, dar cel mai mult \u00eel preocupa tipul de motor cu care s\u0103 \u00eenzestreze aparatul \u201cVuia I\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Avea nevoie de un motor u\u015for care s\u0103-i asigure propulsia \u015fi sustena\u0163ia. \u201cDac\u0103 un asemenea motor nu exista de fapt, cauza nu era imposibilitatea de a-l construi ci indiferen\u0163a \u015fi dispre\u0163ul fabric\u0103rii de motoare pentru ma\u015fina de zbor \u015fi pentru cei ce c\u0103utau s\u0103 o realizeze\u201d, avea s\u0103 declare inginerul c\u00e2\u0163iva ani mai t\u00e2rziu. \u00cen aceste condi\u0163ii, inventatorul s-a v\u0103zut nevoit s\u0103 construiasc\u0103 el \u00eensu\u015fi motorul, baz\u00e2ndu-se pe cuno\u015ftin\u0163ele sale de mecanic\u0103 \u015fi termodinamic\u0103. Modific\u00e2nd radical un motor de tip Serpollet, l-a f\u0103cut s\u0103 func\u0163ioneze cu acid carbonic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cVuia I\u201d era un aparat de zbor cu aspectul unui liliac, cu aripi repliabile ca o umbrel\u0103. Dup\u0103 o serie \u00eentreag\u0103 de experimente, Traian Vuia avea s\u0103 fac\u0103, la 18 martie 1906, la Montesson, \u00een apropiere de Paris, primul zbor cu un aparat mai greu dec\u00e2t aerul, prin mijloce proprii. Aeroplanul-automobil a rulat 50 de metri pe sol, iar apoi s-a \u00een\u0103l\u0163at singur la o \u00een\u0103l\u0163ime de aproximativ un metru, str\u0103b\u0103t\u00e2nd \u00een zbor 12 metri. Din p\u0103cate, dup\u0103 12 metri, elicea s-a blocat \u015fi motorul s-a oprit brusc, lovindu-se de un copac. De\u015fi a durat doar c\u00e2teva clipe, zborul a reu\u015fit. Rom\u00e2nul Traian Vuia pusese piatra de temelie a aeronauticii moderne.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fundatiadanvoiculescu.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2011\/12\/Traian_Vuia_aircraft.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-17075\" title=\"Traian_Vuia_aircraft\" src=\"https:\/\/fundatiadanvoiculescu.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2011\/12\/Traian_Vuia_aircraft.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"293\" \/><\/a>Meritul lui Vuia este c\u0103 a reu\u015fit primul zbor cu un aparat mai greu dec\u00e2t aerul, care s-a \u00een\u0103l\u0163at prin propria for\u0163\u0103. Pentru asigurarea stabilit\u0103\u0163ii \u00een aer avea nevoie de o propulsare mai puternica. Cu un motor de tip Antoinette \u015fi cu o serie de modific\u0103ri, aparatul \u201cVuia 1\u201d s-a transformat \u00een \u201cVuia 2\u201d, brevetat \u00een 1907, \u00een Belgia. Acest aparat avea performan\u0163e mult sporite, astfel c\u0103, \u00een 1907, el avea s\u0103 zboare pe o distan\u0163\u0103 de 70 de metri, la o \u00een\u0103l\u0163ime variabil\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lupt\u0103tor pe toate fronturile<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cen capitala Fran\u0163ei, Traian Vuia a \u00eencercat permanent s\u0103 influen\u0163eze destinul rom\u00e2nilor din Transilvania, duc\u00e2nd o adev\u0103rat\u0103 campanie pentru unificarea cu Rom\u00e2nia. Astfel, \u00eempreun\u0103 cu al\u0163i frunta\u015fi rom\u00e2ni afla\u0163i la Paris, a pus, la 30 aprilie 1918, bazele Comitetului Na\u0163ional al Rom\u00e2milor din Transilvania. Noua societate, avea drept organ de pres\u0103 revista \u201eLa Transylvanie\u201d, unde Vuia va publica numeroase articole prin care s\u0103 sus\u0163in\u0103 cauza celor de acas\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De asemeni, Vuia a fost consilier \u00een cadrul delega\u0163iei rom\u00e2ne de la Conferin\u0163a de pace de la Paris (1919-1920) unde, prin rela\u0163iile care le cultivase, \u015fi-a adus o important\u0103 contribu\u0163ie la unficarea rom\u00e2nilor. Cu aceast\u0103 ocazie a publicat lucrarea \u201eLe Banat\u201d spre a face cunoscute realit\u0103\u0163ile cona\u0163ionalilor de aici. \u00cen aceea\u015fi perioad\u0103, a publicat sub pseudonim o colec\u0163ie de articole ap\u0103rute \u00een Austro-Ungaria, \u00een care erau calomniate celelalte puteri participante la Conferin\u0163a de pace, Rusia, Fran\u0163a \u015fi Marea Britanie. Tot \u00een acest context, din proprie ini\u0163iativ\u0103 sau \u00een urma unor sfaturi primite din \u0163ar\u0103, a intrat \u00een francmasonerie, \u00eempreun\u0103 cu Alexandru Vaida-Voievod, se pare, pentru a combate elementul maghiar p\u0103truns \u00een for\u0163\u0103 \u00een aceast\u0103 organiza\u0163ie, \u015fi care ac\u0163iona pe toate c\u0103ile pentru a \u00eempiedica unirea teritoriilor rom\u00e2ne\u015fti din fostul Imperiu cu Rom\u00e2nia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mereu activ, nu numai \u00een cercetarea aviatic\u0103, \u00een timpul celui de-al doilea R\u0103zboi Mondial, inginerul rom\u00e2n a creat \u00een 1943 \u201eFrontul Na\u0163ional al Rom\u00e2nilor din Fran\u0163a\u201d. Aceast\u0103 organiza\u0163ie a ac\u0163ionat \u00een leg\u0103tur\u0103 cu rezisten\u0163a francez\u0103, care lupta \u00eempotriva ocupa\u0163iei germane.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Un elicopter pentru o sut\u0103 de pasageri<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Traian Vuia \u015fi-a extins permanent cercet\u0103rile de naviga\u0163ie aerian\u0103. Astfel, el a fost preocupat de zborul vertical \u015fi de men\u0163inerea aparatului la punct fix \u00een zbor. Numeroasele experimente \u00eentreprinse se vor concretiza \u00een brevetul \u201ePerfec\u0163ion\u0103ri la mijloacele de propulsie, de trac\u0163iune \u015fi de sustena\u0163ie\u201d, cu aplicabilitate la nave, elicoptere sau ro\u0163ile cu palete ale turbinelor. \u00centre 1918-1925 a coceput \u015fi realizat dou\u0103 elicoptere, pe care inten\u0163iona s\u0103 le treac\u0103 \u00een produc\u0163ia de serie \u00een Rom\u00e2nia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cen 1923 \u0163ine o conferin\u0163\u0103 pe tema elicopterelor, la Societatea Francez\u0103 de Naviga\u0163ie Aerian\u0103 la care a anun\u0163at c\u0103 noua masina de zbor era deja construit\u0103, dar trebuie perfec\u0163ionat. Rom\u00e2nul a intuit corect utilitatea acestui aparat pentru zborul comercial sau transportul de pasageri pe distan\u0163e scurte. Propunerile lui veneau \u00een perioada \u00een care dirijabilul \u015fi aeroplanele puteau transporta doar mase relativ mici.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">M. Yvonneau, cu care a lucrat \u00een acea perioad\u0103, avea s\u0103 dezv\u0103luie abia \u00een 1957, cu ocazia Expozi\u0163iei Traian Vuia de la Bucure\u015fti, care erau ideile ce \u00eel st\u0103p\u00e2neau pe inventatorul rom\u00e2n.<em>\u201eVuia proiectase pe vremea acea un aparat cu patru rotoare, \u00een tandem, \u00eenzestrat cu o cabin\u0103 pentru 100 de pasgeri. Din nefericire, ideea a r\u0103mas \u00een suspensie\u201d<\/em>, a spus Yvonneau la manifestarea amintit\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vuia nu era interesat numai de aerodinamic\u0103, ci \u015fi de ameliorarea motoarelor. \u00cen plus, \u00een 1925, a realizat un generator de abur original, cu circula\u0163ie for\u0163at\u0103 unic\u0103, cu presiune si temperatur\u0103 \u00eenalt\u0103 \u015fi cu randament termic ridicat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u015ei atunci\u2026.ca \u015fi acum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Traian Vuia nu a fost ferit de problemele cu care se confrunt\u0103 un vizionar. \u00cen 1923 inten\u0163iona s\u0103 treac\u0103 la produc\u0163ia de serie a aparatelor sale de zbor \u015fi a unor elicoptere, la uzinele Re\u015fi\u0163a. Inventatorul i-a dat unui prieten urm\u0103torul mesaj pe care s\u0103-l duc\u0103 \u00een \u0163ar\u0103:<br \/>\n<em>\u201cPoveste\u015fte prietenilor de acas\u0103 tot ce ai v\u0103zut aici. Am dovedit c\u0103 se poate zbura cu un aparat \u2018mai greu decat aerul\u2019. (\u2026) Acum, dup\u0103 ce s-au convins de posibilitatea zborului mecanic, num\u0103rul experiment\u0103rilor va cre\u015fte rapid, speciali\u015ftii vor realiza motoare speciale, avia\u0163ia va avea o industrie \u00eenfloritoare pe temeiul experien\u0163ei mele, devenit\u0103 bun comun. Ai putut vedea! Nu m-am ascuns, am experimentat \u00een v\u0103zul tuturor. Vor continua al\u0163ii, tot mai mul\u0163i. A\u015fa se realizeaz\u0103 progresul\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Din nefericire, el nu a primit sprijinul pe care l-a solicitat \u015fi a fost nevoit s\u0103-\u015fi am\u00e2ne revenirea \u00een Rom\u00e2nia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00cen vremea Primului R\u0103zboi Mondial, Traian Vuia a lucrat pentru Ministerul francez al Ap\u0103r\u0103rii. \u00cempreun\u0103 cu binecunoscutul Victor Tatin, a construit o torpil\u0103 folosit\u0103 cu succes de marina militar\u0103.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un alt episod care l-a afectat pe Vuia s-a produs \u00een 1937, c\u00e2nd a fost invitat s\u0103 \u0163in\u0103 un discurs, cu prilejul Expozi\u0163iei Interna\u0163ionale de Aeronautic\u0103 din capitala francez\u0103. Deoarece Dimitrie Gusti, directorul pavilionului rom\u00e2nesc s-a \u00eemboln\u0103vit, iar noul director nu a manifestat interes pentru ac\u0163iune, Vuia nu \u015fi-a mai putut \u0163ine cuv\u00e2ntarea preg\u0103tit\u0103. Se stinge din via\u0163\u0103 la Bucure\u015fti, \u00een acela\u015fi an, la 3 septembrie, scurt timp dup\u0103 repatriere.
