The Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation participates at Longevity Expo Forum Fest 2024 with innovative research on longevity in Romania

To what extent must one modify one's lifestyle to achieve a long, healthy, and happy life? Which Romanian regions are home to individuals who are both employed and enjoying life in their ninth decade? What are the recommended habits for attaining the age of 100?

The Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania will address these questions at the Longevity Expo Forum Fest. The event is of significant importance within the field of longevity studies in Romania and will take place on the 22nd and 23rd of October at Club Kong, Herăstrău, Bucharest, from 9:00 to 18:00. The forum provides a distinctive platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas between health experts and the general public, facilitating the dissemination of the latest technologies, research findings and solutions dedicated to enhancing longevity and wellbeing.

Those attending the Longevity Expo Forum Fest will have the opportunity to participate in the latest research project of the Scientific Senate, which is dedicated to the longevity of Romanians. Those interested may complete the questionnaire at the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania stand and gain insight into the factors contributing to longevity and health in Romania from the specialists involved in the "Longevity Map of Romania" project, a comprehensive research initiative examining the determinants of increased life expectancy in specific regions of the country. These so-called 'blue zones' in Romania are regions where people live longer and healthier lives. The study provides valuable insights into how environmental, lifestyle and genetic factors contribute to longevity. The results will be presented in an accessible and attractive format for all participants.

The organisers of Longevity Expo Forum Fest have invited a number of distinguished national and international figures, in addition to members of the Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, to participate in a series of free conferences. Professor Dr. Andrea Maier, an internationally renowned researcher in the field of gerontology at the National University of Singapore, will address the question of whether ageing can be treated or prevented. Professor Dr. Alexandru Vladimir Ciurea, one of Romania's most respected and prominent experts in neurosurgery, will discuss how we can achieve wellness through the balance between body, mind and soul.
