Pasiunea pentru tehnologie și dorința de a face o schimbare pozitivă în comunitate au fost motivele pentru care șase tineri excepționali – Augustin Babii, Bogdan Brăileanu, Briana Filimon, Alexandra-Maria Morar, Alexandru Pop și Victor-George Sabo și-au unit forțele și au dezvoltat un dispozitiv revoluționar numit GrowWise, care nu este un simplu gadget, ci este un sistem complex de senzori și algoritmi care monitorizează în timp real sănătatea solului și a plantelor. Tinerii au fost recunoscuți pentru inovația lor și pentru contribuția adusă la dezvoltarea durabilă a sectorului agricol. Astfel, au fost aleși să facă parte din campania „100 de tineri pentru dezvoltarea României”, unde au avut ocazia să împărtășească experiența lor și să inspire alte generații să se implice în proiecte care pot schimba lumea în bine.
With this device, which consists of three sensors, farmers can obtain essential information about soil moisture, temperature and the level of nutrients such as potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus that influence plant growth. This accurate data allows farmers to make decisions and optimise the amount of water and nutrients used, thereby reducing the negative environmental impact and costs associated with agricultural production.
„The idea for our product stems from the desire to provide Romanians with healthy and nutrient-rich food at an affordable price in the food market. Over the last 7 decades the nutritional quality of fruit and vegetables has deteriorated considerably. A main cause of this is the lack of use of fertilisers, which supplement the nutrient supply of the soil. Thus, the plant will not be able to efficiently synthesise the nutrients needed for the vitamin formation process because it has certain deficiencies in the soil. Using the GrowWise device, the user receives real-time alerts and personalised recommendations on how to improve the quality of the plant's growing environment. Thus, by using GrowWise technology, farmers can save resources such as water and fertiliser, while optimising the quality and quantity of their crop," explains Alexandra-Maria Morar.”, explică Alexandra-Maria Morar.
The GrowWise device, developed by the young people from Cluj, helps save resources and improves the harvest. By constantly monitoring the growing conditions of the plants, it can quickly identify any problems or shortcomings, providing recommendations for their timely remedy. This enables farmers to produce a richer, higher quality crop, which increases the profitability and sustainability of Romanian farming businesses.

The 100 outstanding young people who make us proud to be Romanian and who have distinguished themselves through outstanding performances will be included in the first catalogue of Romanian excellence, which will be launched at the end of this year.
