Raul Babi, the wonder child who learns 10 languages, has joined the 100 Youngsters for Romania's Development campaign

Raul Babi, a mere 15 years of age, has been hailed for his exceptional intellect and fervour for historical studies. The gifted youngster, a scholarship student at the International Theoretical High School of Informatics in Constanta, has recently become a participant in the national initiative, "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development", spearheaded by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania. This project is designed to identify and nurture the country's emerging leaders of tomorrow.

Demonstrating a distinctive cognitive style and an insatiable enthusiasm for linguistic diversity, Raul acquired proficiency in ten foreign languages. He has acquired proficiency in the following languages: English, Italian, Spanish, German, Greek, Armenian, Turkish, Chinese, Sanskrit, Hebrew, and Russian. His proficiency in these languages not only facilitated access to a multitude of cultural traditions but also fostered a vast network of esteemed international acquaintances. His academic curiosity and eagerness for knowledge made him a valuable resource, recognised and admired by those who appreciate intellectual and cultural values. His remarkable talent has attracted the attention of an ancient noble family in Italy, which awarded him the title of Knight of the Dynastic Order of the Agricola Family (SMOSSAN). Furthermore, his talent for elucidating the treasures of the past has impressed important figures across the Atlantic Ocean, with the Medal of Loyalty of the Brazilian Imperial House from Prince Dom Pedro Bourbon of Orléans and Bragança. Additionally, Raul is a Knight of the Order of the Legio Lineata, bestowed upon him by the House of the Duke of Bojano in Italy. These international recognitions serve to underscore his status as a universal figure with a comprehensive grasp of global culture and history.

In Romania, Raul Babi has been the recipient of numerous accolades, particularly in the fields of Classics and History. In 2023, the young man was awarded the First Prize at the Classical Languages Olympiad, Latin section, as well as the Special Prize at the Interdisciplinary Olympiad "Romanian Culture and Spirituality". Additionally, the West University of Timișoara, through its Rector Marilen Pirtea, awarded him a Diploma of Merit, which is recognised by the University Senate. This has already secured him a place at the Faculty of Letters, History, Philosophy and Theology. This recognition provides him with a unique opportunity in Romania and demonstrates, once again, his exceptional academic values and performance.

Presently, Raul serves as the President of the Students' School Council of the International Theoretical High School of Informatics in Constanta and as an Ambassador for Constanta for the organisation "Girl Up". In this capacity, he advocates for and advances the cause of gender equality. Despite his relative youth, Raul devotes his time to inspiring his generation, promoting the values that are essential for a modern and balanced society.

Despite his considerable talent and abilities, which afford him access to prestigious scholarships abroad, Raul is unable to imagine residing in any other country but Romania. He aspires to study law, although he acknowledges that he is still considering other academic avenues. "I feel a profound affinity with these locales, hallowed by divine grace. It is not a misplaced sentiment, but rather a genuine attachment to a place imbued with goodness and a conviction that mastering another tongue is a lifelong pursuit," Raul remarks with a discerning maturity.

Raul Babi is more than a child prodigy. He is an ambassador of knowledge and a model of perseverance for young people aspiring to make a change.
