FDVDR 2024 Summer School is a great opportunity for children to discover and develop their passions in a relaxed and innovative environment. Attending the FDVDR Summer School not only provides children with an enjoyable educational alternative, but also develops essential skills for the future. Gabriela Maalouf, psychologist and expert in excellence education, emphasizes the importance of these courses.

"Summer is the perfect opportunity to show children that learning is both a passion and a pleasure and that they can put everything they learn into practice. The summer courses organized by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania are very innovative. From critical and creative thinking, courses on Japanese culture, robotics and programming courses and, last but not least, theater arts courses. We learn a lot of things, we have a lot of information, but we seem to be afraid and not so confident to pass it on, to tell people. Well, in the summer courses you can do these things," says Maalouf.

The Theatre Arts Course - Acting Module (10-14 years old) - will take place at Victory of Art, str. Tache Ionescu, nr. 29, sector 1, Bucharest, and offers children the opportunity to explore their creativity and expressiveness through theatre arts.Under the guidance of professionals in the field, children will learn acting, improvisation and interpretation techniques, developing their communication skills and self-confidence.

Robotics and Programming Course (8-11 years), - will be conducted exclusively online and is designed to stimulate children's interest in technology and engineering. Participants will have the opportunity to build and program robots, learning basic programming and engineering concepts in an interactive and engaging way.

Gabriela Maalouf also emphasizes the role of parents in supporting children during this time.

It is of great importance that parents facilitate their children's understanding of their passions and enable them to ascertain whether they can pursue a career in their chosen field. Furthermore, this can be achieved effectively during the summer months, when there is less pressure, greater joy and well-being, and a greater capacity for relaxation, allowing children to discern whether the courses they are undertaking are aligned with their interests and abilities. — Gabriela Maalouf
