The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania is participating in TECH EXPO, the largest technology festival in Romania. This extensive event brings together a diverse range of individuals, including technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, business professionals, students, and those who are passionate about innovation and technology. The eighth edition of Bucharest Tech Week is predicated on the notion of reframing the human experience through the lens of emerging technologies. The impact of technology on our experiences and thoughts, and the relationship between our lives as they were before and as they are now.
On Sunday, 16 June, members of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania's "1100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" campaign, who have been awarded significant prizes at both national and international technology competitions, will present their winning projects at Tech Expo.
The inaugural presentation on the Tech Stage is that of Romspace, a collective comprising six young individuals who were instrumental in the successful deployment of the ROM-3 satellite into orbit through the utilisation of a SpaceX rocket procured from Elon Musk. The Romspace team comprises the following individuals: Filip Bușcu, David Ghiberdic, Alex Unteșu, Alesia Unteșu, Alex Peticaru, and Alex Luchianov. The latter is a scholarship student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
The young people in question have demonstrated not only advanced knowledge of space technology, but also an outstanding ability to collaborate and innovate at the highest level.
The second team that will undoubtedly impress the audience is the AutoVortex National Robotics Team, renowned for their achievements in international competitions. The team will present the robot with which they represented Romania at the International Robotics Championship in the USA, demonstrating their technical expertise and competitive spirit.
TECH EXPO provides an optimal setting for these gifted young individuals to disseminate their accomplishments and motivate subsequent generations of innovators.
