Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, educational partner of "Space Fest"

The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania serves as the educational partner of "Space Fest," the most significant event dedicated to space exploration, organized by the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA). "Space Fest" represents a unique opportunity for interaction and learning, offering participants the chance to gain insight into the latest innovations and achievements in space. The event will convene a distinguished assembly of leading researchers, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and NASA astronauts.

The involvement of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation as a strategic partner serves to illustrate its dedication to the advancement of education and the development of younger generations. On the final day of Space Fest, Monday, June 3, at 12:00, Antonio Florin Iordache, a student of Jean Monnet High School in Bucharest and member of the national campaign "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development," will present his winning project at the International "National Space Society" - NASA Space Settlement Contest. The young man has succeeded in constructing a bullet-shaped vessel, with the intention of transforming a negative impact into a positive one for humanity. The shape of the ship allows for efficient propulsion in space and a perfect rotation of less than two rotations per minute, which generates artificial gravity at an optimal level. The craft recently returned from Los Angeles, USA, where the NASA Space Settlement Contest awards event was held. At the US event, Antonio had the opportunity to meet NASA astronaut Susan Kilrain, who is also attending this year's Space Fest.

Those in attendance will have the chance to engage with aerospace professionals, experience flight simulators and participate in discussions about the future of space exploration. Space Fest offers an invaluable opportunity to inspire and educate young people, encouraging them to pursue their passions and contribute to the advancement of science and technology.

Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania remains committed to its mission of supporting education and innovation, working with prestigious partners to create unique opportunities for talented and ambitious young people. Its presence at ”Space Fest” is further proof of its firm commitment to this goal.
