The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania serves as the educational partner of the Debate Championship, which is organised by the Union of Students of Romania (USR). The Foundation's objective is to foster the development of critical and analytical thinking skills among the next generation of students, thereby contributing to the formation of leaders who are equipped to address the challenges that lie ahead. The Debate Championship forms part of UniFEST, Romania's largest student festival, which will take place on 16 November. Young people from across the country will convene to engage in discourse on salient matters pertaining to the future of society and education.
The Debating Championship will convene the most gifted students from Romania in Bucharest, at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Bucharest, in an ardent contest of ideas and arguments on contemporary and socially issues. This competitive yet convivial environment offers young people a valuable educational experience, contributing to their formation as responsible and socially engaged citizens.
"Voting" or "Using technology" are among the main topics debated in the competition. The Dan Voiculesulescu Foundation for the Development of Romania challenges young participants in the Grand Final of the Debate Championship to debate the topic "Preparing young people for the labor market".
The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania has been engaged in a long-standing partnership with the Romanian Students' Union, providing support for the training of a new generation of leaders equipped to address the complex challenges of the future. These young individuals, who have undergone training in critical thinking and leadership, will possess the requisite skills to innovate and exert a positive influence on societal evolution. They will also be well-positioned to assume essential roles in the development of their communities and drive change in our country.
