The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania is launching the 2025 edition of the national campaign "Exceptional Teachers League". This is a project that celebrates teachers who inspire, motivate and create real opportunities for their students, going beyond textbooks and traditional teaching methods. It's a way of saying a big thank you to teachers who push the limits and find ways to make things work when it looks like it can't.
Looking for teachers who make a difference
Every kindergarten, school, high school and university has teachers who change lives. It might be the teacher who brings literature closer to students through fun and innovative methods, the teacher who gives up their free time to help vulnerable children stay in school, or the teacher who brings science to life in a makeshift laboratory in a rural school with limited resources. The Exceptional Teachers League is all about these people, the teachers who, through passion and determination, are shaping the generations of the future.
Who can make a nomination?
In order to participate in the national campaign "Exceptional Teachers League", teachers from Romania can apply by filling in the application form according to the steps in the Official Rules, together with a description of the activity carried out.
Also, anyone can nominate an outstanding teacher: students, parents, fellow teachers, graduates or members of their community. Each nomination is a gesture of recognition and appreciation for those who, through their dedication, are changing the future of education in Romania for the better.

Nominalizarea unui profesor nu este doar un pas în competiție, ci și un gest sincer de recunoștință. Fiecare dascăl înscris în campanie va fi contactat de Fundația Dan Voiculescu pentru Dezvoltarea României, va primi mesajul tău de apreciere și o diplomă onorifică. Este o formă de recunoaștere care ajunge direct la inimă — și care, uneori, poate însemna mai mult decât un premiu.

To recognise and celebrate teachers who inspire generations, we've got a clear and simple way of evaluating candidates. The application process is simple, and every teacher has the chance to be recognised for the impact they make in education.
Assessment criteria: innovative educational methods - using modern and creative teaching techniques that transform learning into an engaging experience; outstanding student performance - achieving outstanding results in Olympiads, national and international competitions; supporting and developing future leaders - encouraging and supporting students to become opinion leaders, researchers or actively involved citizens; educational contributions - publishing relevant articles that add value to education; supporting students in difficulty - guiding and supporting children to continue their education and overcome their limitations: Active involvement in extracurricular activities - developing projects that complement formal education and help pupils discover their potential.
What do we offer?
In addition to membership of the select "Exceptional Teachers League" community, the title of "Exceptional Teacher" and national visibility, the winners will receive prizes to support and encourage their educational work, as well as other prizes from our partners:
🏆 1st place - 30.000 lei
🥈 2nd place - 20.000 lei
🥉 3rd place - 10.000 lei
In addition, all 20 finalists will be rewarded with pedagogical resources, digital equipment and training opportunities to further their mission with even more inspiration and impact.
How does the campaign work?
The campaign runs from March to July 2025 and includes the following stages:
Stage 1 - Registration of nominations: March 21 - May 30
Stage 2 - Evaluation of applications and designation of the 20 finalists: June 2 - June 13
Stage 3 - Public vote for finalists: June 16 - July 18
Stage 4 - Awards to the winners: July 2025
