The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania hereby announces the publication of the list of finalists of the national campaign, "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development". These individuals will be included in the inaugural edition of a compendium of Romanian excellence, entitled "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" Campaign. This initiative is dedicated to the promotion of authentic performance and the values that will shape the future of our nation. In March of this year, the 100 finalists will convene at the Romanian Excellence Gala, where they will be presented with a scholarship amounting to €1,000 each, in acknowledgement of the effort, talent and dedication they have demonstrated in their respective domains.
The selection of 100 young people was made by a jury of excellence, which assessed rigorous criteria such as outstanding results in national and international olympiads and competitions, outstanding innovations, contributions to education, culture, sport and technology. Examples of the exceptional achievements of these young individuals include the launch of satellites into orbit, the invention of a revolutionary life-saving medical alert system for hospitals, and outstanding performances at the Tokyo and Paris Olympics, as well as the International Mathematics Olympiads. Additionally, the list includes 100% Romanian rocket builders with the potential to significantly impact the national aerospace industry, and Romania's youngest ever Romanian writer. These extraordinary young people have propelled Romania's name to the pinnacle of international success. During the course of the year 2024, the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania has provided the young people enrolled in the campaign with recognition, financial support and visibility, with a view to enabling them to continue to fulfil their vision and contribute, in a tangible way, to the progress of Romanian society. By encouraging and rewarding authentic values, the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania thus brings to the forefront the generation that is developing the country and will carry Romania's values forward in the world.
The "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" Gala, scheduled for March, will celebrate these exceptional achievements and provide the community with a living example of the potential for development in Romania.
