Year after year, students from all over the country, involved in society, academic life and extracurricular activities are recognized and awarded at the Romanian Students' Gala. The 12th edition of this traditional project, organised by the Romanian Students' Union, was supported as an educational partner by Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania.
The prize for "Educational Performance", offered by Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, was awarded to Cristina Stere, a PhD student at the Faculty of Agri-Food and Environmental Economics of ASE Bucharest.
„The award for "Educational Performance" at PhD level is a recognition of my efforts and my commitment to my field of study. It is a confirmation of my passion for research, but also that my work has been appreciated. As for the expectations of this award, although I dreamed of such recognition, I was surprised when I was named the winner. Support in the academic world is crucial. Without strong support, guidance and communication I would not have got here. The money I won is an incredible boost to further invest in my personal development," said Cristina Sterie.”, a declarat Cristina Sterie.
This year's edition took place on Thursday, 30 November 2023, and brought to the forefront performance in education, i.e. highlighted the importance of encouraging students who excel in the fields they study, while also outlining a long-standing project whose main objective is to appreciate and respect the values to which the Union adheres. The Students' Union of Romania awarded students who excel in one of the following areas: academic performance, artistic performance, sports performance and civic involvement.

We in the Romanian Students' Union want to give them this opportunity. We want to show them that what they have done can, and will, be recognised and count in this world. The Romanian Students Gala is an event dedicated to all students who have achieved outstanding results during their university years, but also to those who have been actively involved in various volunteer projects at national and international level.
