For the first time in Romania, Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania is organizing a conference dedicated to a topic that is increasingly present in debates about the health and medicine of the future: biohacking-ul - a concept on the border between medicine, technology, personalized nutrition and optimizing brain function.
Biohackers say we can live longer, slow down the ageing process and control our body's functions better. Some people reckon biohacking could be the key to living longer and performing at our best, as long as you know what you're doing. Others, though, are a bit more cautious and see it as a risky experiment.
The conference „Biohacking: the future of longevity medicine or dangerous experiment?" brings to the audience top specialists from the fields of medicine, biomedical research, biotechnology, applied psychology and integrative health, who will explain what biohacking is, what procedures optimize health, what is just marketing and where the real risks start.
The event discusses both what the science says about biohacking and what is already being applied in Romania and around the world - from therapies that help cells regenerate, to brain exercises, mental clarity supplements, smart devices that monitor the body, personalized diets and genetic testing.
All in a clear and balanced format, for those who want to live longer, better and more consciously - not sometime, but right now.
