On 8, 15 and 22 August 2007 the Club of Excellence of the DAN VOICULESCU FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ROMANIA organised visits on different themes - "European Art Gallery", "Hello, Mr Artist" and "Religious Painting" - to the National Art Museum of Romania for 20 talented children in the fields of painting, drawing and photography (children selected by DAN VOICULESCU FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ROMANIA on 3 June 2007 and 10 July 2007).
During the three days, the children visited the museum and participated in the activities of the creative workshops.
This action is a prelude to a creative camp organised by DAN VOICULESCU FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ROMANIA. The camp was held from 9-15 September 2007 in Greece and aimed at visiting archaeological sites and monasteries, so that the children could create works to be exhibited in Herastrau Park.
The aim is to encourage and motivate young artists to participate actively in a group in which they can share their individual experiences and accumulations.
