This triumph represents a significant milestone in the pursuit of Romanian excellence in the sporting realm. Cătălina Stănescu, a figure skating prodigy and finalist of the "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" campaign, organised by the Dan Voiculesulescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, has attained an exceptional performance in two prestigious competitions.
The young athlete was triumphant in securing the top spot at the Romanian Cup in figure skating, thereby solidifying her position as a leader among her contemporaries. Additionally, she attained third place at the prestigious Bellu Memorial 2025 International Competition in the Basic Novice II category. The event attracted 350 skaters from 22 countries, including European medallists and athletes aspiring to the world podium.
This double success is further proof of his talent and determination, but also of the huge potential of young Romanian athletes.
