The ballerina Daria Toma opens the performance of the Gala of the Little Olympians, organised by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, at the National Children's Palace in Bucharest on 23rd May at 11:00. The event is dedicated to the talented preschool children who participated and excelled in the national campaign "Preschool Olympics", marking their first outstanding steps on the way to education. Together with 20 young dancers aged between 3 and 8, Daria will be the protagonist of an extraordinary moment at the opening of the Young Olympians Gala. All these children attend ballet classes at the Children's and Youth Studio of the Bucharest National Opera under the guidance of prima ballerina Magdalena Rovinescu.
Daria Maria Toma, a 13-year-old ballerina, has captured the attention of the public and dance professionals with her remarkable passion and talent. She is the first participant in the "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" campaign, a project initiated by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania. The aim of this project is to discover and promote young people in the country who have distinguished themselves nationally and internationally through their dedication and exceptional skills.
Daria was drawn to the world of ballet at an early age. A simple gift, a mat and a barre, would change her life. Under the guidance of choreographer Magdalena Rovinescu at the Ballet Studio for Children and Youth of the Bucharest National Opera, Daria developed her natural talent and began to make a name for herself on national and international stages. She has performed in shows such as Alice in Wonderland at the Ion Dacian National Opera Theatre and Snow White at the Bucharest National Opera.
