The Longevity Expo Forum Fest, a distinctive event that assembles eminent experts in the domain of health and longevity, commenced today. The objective of this event is to disseminate the latest findings and strategies for enhancing longevity and wellbeing to the general public. Over the course of two days (22-23 October), participants will have the opportunity to learn from world-renowned experts on the most effective methods for prolonging life and how revolutionary therapies and innovative supplements can be implemented to improve quality of life. At the event, the Scientific Senate of the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania presented the findings of the research project, entitled "Longevity Map of Romania". This comprehensive study provides a detailed account of the regions within the country where life expectancy is significantly higher, as well as the factors that contribute to this phenomenon.
Among the distinguished guests is Prof. Dr. Andreea Maier, an esteemed scholar in the field of longevity and healthy ageing. Prof. Maier has an extensive and impressive career, serving as Director of the Center for Healthy Longevity at the National University of Singapore and Professor of the Medicine of Ageing. Additionally, he teaches gerontology at one of the most respected institutions in Amsterdam and holds senior positions at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Healthy Longevity Medicine Society, the inaugural association dedicated to longevity medicine globally.
During the event, Prof. Maier stressed the importance of prevention and personalized care for healthy ageing:
"Longevity is not just a matter of genetics, but of informed choices. We have technologies and interventions at our disposal that can significantly influence the length and quality of our lives. Through a combination of optimized nutrition, proper exercise and innovative treatments, we can live longer and better."
Maier also referred to the healthcare model in Singapore, where he lives and works.
"In Singapore, we have created Gluer 3.0, a system where we not only design the places where we live, but also bring the medical component closer to society to have as many people as possible living healthy to 100 years or more," the specialist explained.
The Longevity Expo Forum Fest will continue tomorrow, 23 October, offering the public the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in health and longevity, as well as participate in interactive sessions. Visitors are invited to take part in the "Longevity Raffle", which offers the chance to win two special prizes of innovative resources for a longer and healthier life.
