The Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania has been designated as the educational partner of the Bucharest Harp Festival, which is being organised by the Romanian Harpists' Association in collaboration with the National Library of Romania. The event is scheduled to take place from 17 to 19 July and will bring together a number of distinguished artists, including renowned harpists from Romania and abroad, as well as students and other individuals with an interest in music and the harp. The festival will serve as a platform for celebrating art and culture in a festive setting.
The opening gala, scheduled for 17 July, will also include a special moment: the opening of the exhibition "The Church of My Soul", realised by Robert Niculae, a member of the "100 Youngsters for Romania's Development" campaign, which is being organised at national level by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania. The exhibition, which will be open throughout the duration of the festival, serves to highlight the work of this gifted young artist, whose creations reflect his profound passion and dedication to the advancement of Romania's cultural and artistic heritage. Robert Niculae, aged just 13, has attracted international attention for his artistic talent. In his inaugural international exhibition at the Artio Gallery in New York, he displayed a work depicting the Radu Voda Monastery, which secured him second place in the "Talents from around the world" competition.
On Wednesday at 18:00, the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania will bestow the "Excellence in Music" award upon one of the students, who will be performing chamber music recitals and distinguished for their harp performances. This award exemplifies the Foundation's dedication to fostering young talent and advancing excellence in education and the arts.
The International Harp Festival will feature a series of recitals, workshops and lectures for both professionals and amateurs. The event will facilitate the exchange of experiences between established performers and young people at the start of their careers, offering unique learning and performance opportunities.
