Professor Adrian Simion Constantin Simion, a prominent figure in the field of education in Alba County, has been selected as a finalist of the national campaign "League of Exceptional Teachers", organised by the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania. With a career spanning over two decades in education, Adrian Simion is a history and civic culture teacher at the "Dionisie Pop Mațian" Economic College in Alba Iulia and, since 2021, director of the Alba County Center of Excellence.
Professor Adrian Simion has exerted a profound impact on his students, motivating them to transcend their limitations and engage in national and international Olympiads and competitions. Throughout his academic career, he has participated in numerous symposia and internships in countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Israel, Malta, Poland, the UK, and France. This extensive international experience has enabled him to adopt and implement contemporary teaching methodologies in Romania, thereby enhancing the quality of education.
In his role as director of the Alba County Center of Excellence, Adrian Simion has established and nurtured an exemplary learning environment for gifted students in the county. Furthermore, he oversees the operations of an NGO active in the domains of education, youth, culture, and civic education, thereby enhancing its impact within the community. The contemporary and innovative educational methodologies he has implemented have yielded remarkable outcomes, with his students garnering an impressive 545 awards in the 2023-2024 academic year, including internationally.
