The first financial education course for gifted children in Romania

Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania organized the first financial education course dedicated exclusively to gifted children in Romania. The course "Money talks! But how do we make them not just say goodbye?" was delivered by "Income" presenter and economic analyst Adrian Măniuțiu.

The course programme provided young people with the tools and knowledge to manage their financial resources effectively and develop strong financial skills. The course brought together a solid theoretical foundation, from basic concepts of saving and budgeting to long-term investment and financial planning, with practical applications.

In Romania, the level of financial education is the lowest in Europe, at just 8%. Moreover, according to specialists in the field of education excellence, one of the least developed skills in gifted children is financial education. To this end, Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania organised the first financial education course exclusively for gifted children, as part of its annual programme of free courses.

The course "Money talks! But how do we make them not just say goodbye?" provided a learning environment tailored to the needs of gifted young people where they could actively explore, question and learn. Furthermore, young people had the opportunity to participate in investment simulations, role-playing financial decision-making games and debates on complex financial topics.

All these activities contributed to the development of their cognitive skills, critical thinking and awareness of the importance of effective financial management.
