The participants of the English language course of the "CLUB OF EXCELLENCE", in the educational year 2017-2018, received the Cambridge Certificate of Language Proficiency. The award ceremony took place in the "GARDEN OF ROMANIAN VALUES", on the occasion of the ending of this year's edition of the program of free courses and workshops. The Cabridge certificates were presented by representatives of the British Council Romania.
Knowledge of English has become essential in recent years in a wide variety of contexts: at school, at university, at work, in social situations. This internationally spoken language develops intelligence and vocabulary and helps children and young people integrate into any community.
Within the Club of Excellence, the end result, the thorough learning of English, is what counts, but this goal will be achieved by the participants through fun, interactive and innovative methods that will not make the learning process a chore or an obligation to be ticked off the already busy list of priorities.
The knowledge acquired in the traditional education system will be raised to a new level and will be deeply understood by the learners, so that the assimilation of the information will be a lasting one, fundamental in the formation of the personality of the future English fluent adult.
The pragmatic aspect of the course aims to prepare students for the Cambridge language proficiency exams, in relation to all the categories assessed in the exams: IELTS, FCE, CAE. In the English language course of the Club of Excellence, students will have conversation classes, learn to communicate, debate and argue different issues related to the immediate reality, the world around them, activities and projects, learning also to express their opinion fluently, without fear of exposure, and to receive answers, equally reasoned.
The courses are organised in the following age categories: 10 - 12 years, 13 - 15 years and 16 - 18 years.
98% of children and young people who have attended the English language courses have obtained the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.
